Well, I get 51 mpg now - and get to use the HOV lane. I got a 2007 Toyota Prius. Feels good to be environmentally responsible.

51MPG? How in the world...are you obeying the speed limit, like, all the time or something? Or perhaps you're just not hauling musical gear around (amps, speakers, etc.)?
I'm finally getting past 45MPG (slowly but surely), but that old lead foot of mine just keeps interfering with my gas budget.
About using that HOV lane, you know, it's kind of cool as long as you get past the almost $200 it takes to apply for, qualify for and then purchase the special license plate that you need to be in that lane.
Oh, and keep hoping that the new sheriff's apprentice knows about this law and its expiration date (12-31-2010).
At any rate, I'll probably sign up for your online Flash tutorial on how to get the most MPG out of a Prius (just as soon as you have that published somewhere).
